Overview
Bremen (population ~800)
The small town of Bremen is a quiet, residential fishing community – one of many along the Pemaquid Peninsula. The Maine coast real estate found here is a mix of historic homes, saltwater farms, modest cabins, and newly-built luxury homes with panoramic views of Muscongus Bay. This small community encompasses the villages of Turners Corner, Broad Cove, and Medomak. The Maine chapter of the National Audubon Society has a home here on Hog Island where once the Abenaki Native Americans harvested shellfish. This modestly populated community of just about 800 residents enjoys year-round clamming, lobstering, and tourism, all of which are mainstays of the town’s economy.
