Overview
Located on the Blue Hill Peninsula, the town of Brooksville includes the
villages of South Brooksville and Bucks Harbor. Bucks Harbor is an
extremely well-protected and picturesque harbor on famed Eggemoggin
Reach in Penobscot Bay. The harbor was immortalized in Robert
McCloskey's book One Morning in Maine and has since
changed little in appearance. Many waterfront homes here have
spectacular views across the harbor to Eggemoggin Reach and south down
Penobscot Bay. Brooksville's fine Maine Coast real estate is
characterized by renovated historic farmhouses with open fields, private
waterfront estates, and private homes surrounded by pristine woods.
