Overview
Eggemoggin Reach is a ten-mile body of water between Deer Isle and the mainland that connects Penobscot Bay with Jericho Bay. The annual Eggemoggin Reach Regatta, held in August, draws some of the prettiest and swiftest wooden boats on the east coast to these waters. Maine waterfront properties along Eggemoggin Reach on Deer Isle and Little Deer Isle and in the towns of Brooklin, Sedgwick, and Brooksville include saltwater farms; dramatic waterfront estates; classic old shingle-style cottages; and summer houses poised at water's edge.
